LEHM 2012

The LEHM 2012, the 6th international conference on building with earth, will take place in Weimar, Germany, and covers a wide variety of topics, ranging from case studies of current earth building projects, new technological developments in building with earth and the establishment of norms, training and education in earth building, and current research and sustainability in earth building practice around the world. The confererence closes with field trips in the earth building region around Weimar.

TERRAEducation 2010

The week long education seminar is taking place as part of the 8th “Grains d’Isère – Festival des Architecture de Terre”, which runs from the 17th - 29th May 2010, and will facilitate an exchange of experiences among several international networks already actively engaged in issues of education in earthen architecture. The intention is to help to reach a shared vision of the future.

TerraBrasil 2010

The third annual Brazilian Congress on Architecture and Earth Building, also known as TerraBrasil 2010, will take place in the city of Campo Grande, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (MS), Brazil from August 31st to the September 3rd, 2010. The Congress is being organized by the Structural and Civil Engineering Department (DEC/CCET) of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, in partnership with the TerraBrasil Network (Rede TerraBrasil).

1st International Hemp Building Symposium

The 1st International Hemp Building Symposium will highlight the innovative ways in which hemp materials can be used to make Hemp Fibre insulation, Hempcrete made of Hemp-lime or Hemp-clay, and Hemp Plasters together with the design, construction and the lifestyle benefits of living in such buildings.


Focussing on materials for sustainable and affordable construction, NOCMAT 2009 will provide an international forum for information dissemination and exchange, discussions and debates on research and practice in a range of sustainable and innovative construction materials and technologies.
